I. Definition

Pad printing belongs to one of the special printing methods. Screen printing is the silk fabric, artificial fiber fabric or metal screen products stretched on the screen frame, the use of hand-made lacquer layer or photochemical reaction printing method to make screen printing plates. The principle of transfer printing is simple: according to the role of the rubber head, the pattern design printed in the thick steel plate is transferred to the product workpiece, similar to the seal on the daily work.

The principle of screen printing is to design holes that can pass the ink on the printing plate (paper film plate or other plate plate base) when printing, according to a certain pressure, the ink is transferred to the substrate (printing paper, porcelain, etc.) according to the hole plate, to generate images or text.

The principle of screen printing ink is simple: according to the scraping pressure, the ink from the screen screen mesh into the product, resulting in pattern design.

Iii. Characteristics

Pad printing: pad printing ink layer is relatively thin, can be printed on all surfaces, showing a particularly good color printing adaptability, alias all-around printing, in addition to air and water can not be printed, all items can be printed with pad printing.

Screen printing ink: the ink layer of screen printing ink is thick, the pattern of printing out is strong, and you can touch the three-dimensional sense of the hand, suitable for the surface printing of high-end new products, the color is very good, the color mixing printing is more inconvenient, and the basic requirements of the product surface are regular plan or inclined plane, and there are certain limitations in the printing scope.

In the substrate compliance level, screen printing has a great advantage, especially in the amorphous plastic hardware electronic devices and consumer goods industry, metal screen printing has won a wide reputation. However, the world will not have a good printing method, screen printing is the same. In the modern printing industry with a large area of irregular substrate surface, metal screen printing has encountered real troubles, the emergence of such pad printing technology. It can be said that although pad printing technology and metal screen printing are very different, they involve industrial applications but very similar.
